Communication Designer + Videographer
Hello! My name is Jake, I have a BFA degree in Communication Design from College For Creative Studies and have freelanced for 5+ years.
I have freelanced for many years and specialize in being creative / effective with briefs pertaining to branding and even production issues. What makes me different, is yes I am a graphic designer but Im also a videographer and editor. Along side with those skills I motion design regularly which would complement any online content needed.
As of recently, I've started a partner studio with my wife called "Collective 210". It will act as a space for different creative disciplines to collaborate on creative challenges. Ranging from video/photo and design.
Aside from Collective 210, I’ve worked with musical artists / non profits providing art direction along with promotional content. My freelancing journey has been great and has brought many different opportunities, ranging from small startups to small franchise coffee shops in LA. My initial goal is to work with clients out of state and in Detroit, MI locally. I like the challenge of looking into different cultures and scenes while designing ethnicity and authentically. A primary design inspiration I have is screen printing. I admire the textures and raw output of that process. Analog processing just feels right.
My aim as a creative is to represent the client honestly and truly while providing a soul to every design project.
